RAINFOREST TRAIL RUN CELEBRATES OUR INDIGENOUS CULTURE AS ORANGE SHIRT DAY APPROACHES

The Rain Forest Trail Run is set for Sunday, September 26 at Central Park as part of the honouring of September 30th, Orange Shirt Day.

The first 250 register participants will receive commemorative medals created by indigenous artist, Don Yeomans and commemorative tee shirts bearing the image of his art.

Vincent Doyle and Chris Hancock, organizers of this event are both Directors of the Achilles International Track and Field Society. As they were ordering the medals and tee shirts, they naturally ordered Orange Shirts. It was discovered that orange colour tee shirts have sold out world wide and that the RainForest Trail run will be forced to be black with orange highlights.

The Rainforest Trail Run recommends the Call to Witness/Listen to Respected One event scheduled for Orange Shirt Day, Thursday, September 30th at the Vancouver Art Gallery
